Jesus made a commitment to be with his disciples whenever and wherever even “two or three were gathered together.” The unity believers was so important to him that his last desire, before taking up the cross, was to spend the evening with them at the Last Supper, and his promise was that one day he would return to gather all believers once again to a great banquet. In the meantime, he has commanded all who believe in him to also commit to gathering often in his name.
